Free ring sizer
Match a ring on your screen, measure your finger with a strip of paper, or print a free sizer. You get your UK size, plus US and EU, in about two minutes.
Every screen is a different size, so we need to calibrate once. Hold any bank card upright and flat against the screen, and resize the box until it’s exactly as wide as the card’s short edge.
No card to hand? Use the printable sizer, or measure your finger with string instead.
Prefer paper? Print a free ring sizer or see the full UK ring size chart.

Match your measurement to the chart below. If you fall between two sizes, go up — a slightly loose ring is easier to resize than one that won't fit over the knuckle.

Yes. Most Hatton Garden jewellers will resize a ring within 1-2 sizes for free, typically within 30 days of purchase. Simple styles like solitaires and halos resize easily. Full eternity bands and tension-set rings are harder to resize, so getting the size right first time matters more with those designs. Always ask about the resize policy before you buy.
They're usually very close — often identical or within half a UK size. Your dominant hand is sometimes marginally larger. If you can only borrow a ring from her right ring finger, it's still a reliable guide. The difference is small enough that a free resize can handle it.
Yes. Fingers swell slightly during the day due to activity and warmth, and shrink in cold weather or first thing in the morning. For the most accurate measurement, measure at the end of the day at room temperature. If you're between two sizes, go with the larger one.
The string or paper method is accurate to within about half a UK size when done carefully. The key is wrapping it firmly but not tightly, marking the overlap point precisely, and measuring in millimetres against a ruler. For a perfect fit, take your measurement to a jeweller and they'll confirm it with a professional gauge — most do this for free.
