What it's like to shop at De Beers London
De Beers has been a diamond name since 1888 and has traded on Old Bond Street since 2002. The London flagship at 46-50 Old Bond Street is now its main UK store — the Harrods and Selfridges counters have closed. The company is currently owned by Anglo American, which is part-way through selling it.
Prices are published. Engagement rings on the UK site start at £2,125 for a DB Classic round solitaire. The Old Bond Street collection — named after the London store — starts at £80,000 for a 3 carat solitaire. The main collections are DB Classic, Aura, Infinity and Old Bond Street.
De Beers is natural-only. It closed its lab-grown jewellery brand, Lightbox, in 2025. Every diamond is "selected by eye and set by hand", in the house's own words. We couldn't find a published statement on which lab grades its stones, so ask to see the grading report before you buy.
One thing to know: Forevermark used to be a De Beers brand. Since January 2026 it's a separate jewellery brand without the De Beers name. Don't expect to find it here.
Our view: De Beers is clear about price, which we respect. You're paying for one of the most famous names in diamonds and a natural-only promise. If those matter to you, it's a straightforward place to buy. If you'd consider lab-grown, or you just want the best stone for your money, compare the same grades on Hatton Garden first.
