What it's like to shop at Hirsh London
Hirsh was founded in 1980 by Anthony and Diane Hirsh and is now run by the next generation: Sophia Hirsh designs, and Jason-Paul Hirsh, a gemmologist, chooses every diamond himself. The business trades from a Georgian townhouse at 46 Conduit Street, a minute off New Bond Street, with its own atelier on site.
Every engagement ring is handmade, and bespoke is a core part of the business rather than an add-on. You can visit the workshop during a bespoke commission. Appointments are private — in-person in the townhouse or by video.
The house specialises in natural coloured diamonds and gemstones: pink, yellow and cognac diamonds, and rarer stones like Paraíba tourmaline. If you want a coloured centre stone, that expertise is the reason to come here. Natural stones only — no lab-grown.
Prices are partly published. Priced engagement rings on the site run from £5,000 to £27,500, and many pieces are "enquire".
Our view: Hirsh is a small family atelier in a Mayfair address, and closer to a Hatton Garden bespoke workshop than to a global house. You'll pay for the location and the hand-finishing. For a coloured diamond, it's one of the best places in London to start. For a classic white solitaire, compare the same GIA spec on Hatton Garden before you commit.
